因為我是土生土長台灣人,去美國工作一定要找能幫我辦身份的sponsor
而找仲介的資料,台灣人分享得資訊真是少之又少
好不容易跌跌撞撞這個月透過direct hire 終於順利和醫院簽約
想說終於有機會來寫一篇文章了!!!

1/ google搜尋 :nurse resume example 就有很多資料了,更進一步可以搜尋工作單位,如: ICU nurse resume
2/內容

#2 Education, Skills, Licensures
#3 Professional profile (簡短的介紹自己)
#4 Current Work Experience(經歷記得目前的工作放第一個)
我是自己先完成履歷內容,不知道怎麼寫就把重點寫上去使用chatgpt修改😂

我自己是多花點錢把履歷外觀弄得漂亮,不過看個人需求😂
找仲介
1/主要是了解direct hire 和staffing agency 差異*CGFNS列出的5大注意事項
無仲介費、不要求提供任何抵押品(如房車)、不收走護照、要求立即簽約、3年以上合約的都有問題!
另外,標榜不需要護理工作經驗也有問題!可能根本不是護理工作!
找醫院
我將它分為醫院、州(的哪一區)、天氣、租金、人口、犯罪率、轉機、英文轉照需求
1/醫院評價
(1)Glassdoor, Linkedin, Indeed 美國各大求職網
把醫院的名字貼上去,可以大概知道這家醫院員工給的評價、薪水、還有前人面試過的問題可以參考
(2)醫院的網站
直接去該家醫院網站搜尋,過程中發現有很多醫院網頁無法連結進去,後來發現是因為我們的ip位置在台灣,朋友有分享使用VPN更改位置以後就可以點進去了
(3)有關醫院的YouTube影片
許多仲介都會和醫院合作拍影片
有些影片裡會有外籍護士分享醫院和生活環境,也有些醫院的HR會直接介紹醫院,會清楚很多
2/州(的哪一區)、天氣、租金、人口、犯罪率、轉機
美國很大,連每個州也都很大,所以要知道醫院是在那個州的哪一區、哪個county
不知道我都問chatgpt,拜科技所賜,直接問他各種伸手牌問題都會找到答案😆
鎖定區域後,透過以下網站找天氣、房屋租金、人口、犯罪
Economic Policy Institute (EPI):輸入地區、家庭成員以後,就可以計算大概月花費的細項應該抓多少
NeighborhoodScout:輸入地名會有該地區的簡介、房價、經濟、犯罪等,不過有些地區看不到搜尋的結果,要付費!但就輸入看看,或範圍拉大一點,還可以大概抓一下那個地方的資料
Numbo:點選城市和國家,會列出超級細項的開支
真心建議可以自己建立一個表格,把他一一填上去,因為要考量的因素實在太多了
透過一一填上表格,內心也會比較清楚自己到底想不想要這家醫院
3/ 英文轉照標準
每個州有各自對於外國學歷的護士轉照標準
要自己上各州護理局找答案
舉例:Texas BON foreign nurse endorsement
BON(board of nursing)

準備面試

Part 2: Behavioral Questions

3. Give me a time when you were given vague or inaccurate information within a medical situation?
4. Describe a time when you challenged somebody who was acting inappropriately within a healthcare environment?
5. Describe a situation when you had to work with a difficult member of a healthcare team? What was the situation and how did you deal with it?
6. Tell me a time when you were in an awkward or difficult situation as a nurse? What happened and how did you react?
7. Tell me a time when you were under huge amounts of pressure? What was the situation and how did you handle it?
8. How well do you do under pressure / How do you handle stress?
9. Describe a time when the medical department you were working in was going through significant change?
10. What would you do if a Dr asked you to do something that is not within the protocol?

List 3 questions to ask the interviewer (current staffing ratios, new hire orientation and
training, career development opportunities, what it is like to live in their community)
我後來都直接問current staffing ratios, new hire orientation and training一方面不想表現的腦袋空空,另一方面這兩個問題也確實很重要😂
*Make sure to not ask these questions if they have already told you this information!
以上這些資料是參考Eileen及Dora所寫的面試準我把問題全部通通綜合起來並分為三類,已經有和前面兩位確認過是否可以分享這些資料,他們也表示同意
如我有人覺得有抄襲的疑慮話,我也會馬上直接撤下,反正這些資訊我日後也用不到,分享都只是幫忙後面的人而已😬
Connectics 和Worldwide 仲介公司也會提供面試tips ,但他給我面試tips的時候是在面試前一天😅😂

05/09仲介說第一次面試沒上😢
05/12第二間面試
05/15收到offer->放棄
05/31第三間面試
06/01收到offer->簽約!
06/08第四間面試(因為在簽約前就排了)
06/10專員說我有錄取,offer在路上,等收到再放棄
